1. A jig

A jig is a type of fishing lure that needs to be moved around for it to effectively function. This means that you, the fisherman, needs to pay close attention to how fast or how slow you're reeling in that fishing line.

This is one particularly effective lure against fishes that can't wait to snack on an innocent little fish that would be their next snack. This type of lure can really get a fish's attention; it's just like kids looking at candy or something like that.

The only trouble here is that you need to keep reeling and reeling till eventually some fish comes up and takes the bait. If this is not a problem for you, then this type of lure will definitely be perfect for you.

2. Spoon lures, no it's not an actual spoon of course

These lures resemble the inner part of a dinner spoon. This shiny piece of lure does one thing to fishes – attract them. All that movement mixed with a flashy piece of lure will definitely catch a fish's attention.

If you are patient enough, you'll find that you'll be catching more bites on your bait than you would expect. This could only mean one thing; you are going to be having fish for dinner tonight – that is if you caught a big enough fish and if it is not illegal for it to be taken out of the water for human consumption. 3. A surface lure

To fishes, this type of lure resembles nothing else but their prey. A surface lure could be anything to a fish that imitates surface prey, whether it's a bug, a small lizard and small fish. This type of lure is sure to increase your chances of actually being able to catch a fish. This is usually made out of wood or plastic.
